Meet Asher, a three-year-old, 45-pound pup who spent over a year in a shelter before thriving in a board-and-train program. Fully crate and house trained, he’s looking for a low-traffic, New England home that can offer structure, exercise, and love, ideally as the only pet!
Everyone meet handsome….Asher!! Asher was living in the shelter for over a year and developed pretty severe kennel stress. Since being broken out of the shelter and in rescue, he has learned calmness, love, and safety. He has completed a four week board and train and is now in boarding/foster with a dog trainer in Bristol, Connecticut. I mean, how much better does it get?! We are looking for potential adopters anywhere in the New England area.
Asher is about three years old, 45 pounds, walks well on leash, is fully crate trained, house trained, e-collar trained, and loves to work and please his people. He would do best in a low traffic household that will exercise his needs and give him the structure that he thrives off of. He loves to work for his food and is a hard worker in general. He is currently living with two other dogs and has learned to co-exist well with them with a lot of structure. He could potentially be placed in another dog household dependent on the other dog and experience of the adopter, however we are pushing for a solo pet household.
Asher deserves his people, and we will find them for him! Asher’s adoption comes with multiple meet and greets, a go home session, a lifetime of FREE training, and an entire team of trainers. I mean, come on! If you believe Asher could be the one for you, please reach out. He is as sweet as he looks and would love nothing more than to meet you. Let’s beat the odds and get this boy adopted, as we all know black dogs tend to be homeless the longest!
Every application is carefully reviewed. To ensure that Bria finds the perfect homes for the dogs that she rescues, she will follow up only with applicants who are believed to be a great match for each individual dog. Applications are not considered on first come, first serve basis. She considers various factors such as the applicant’s lifestyle, living situation, and their ability to provide a safe and caring environment for any and all dogs.
Bria prioritizes applicants who show a genuine interest in providing a loving and forever home to the dogs in her rescue. While it is understood that every applicant has good intentions, resources are limited and the focus must be on those who best align with each dogs’ specific needs.
I came to MA with the name ‘Capulet’ but my amazing fosters renamed me ‘Dottie’ because of my beautiful coat, and honestly, I love it! I am medium size, weighing in at about 55 pounds, and high energy, so get ready to walk me and play with me! I am probably 2-3 years old.
Meet Big Vinnie, a 160-pound sweetheart rescued from the side of the highway. Protective yet loving, he thrives with a patient, breed-savvy owner in a low-traffic home, and he’s making great strides with training and social outings!
Meet Polaris—aka Polly—a 2-to-3-year-old American Bulldog mix with a stocky build, a big personality, and even bigger cuddles to give! After leaving a loud southern shelter, she’s thriving in Massachusetts, showing off her goofy, affectionate, and downright hilarious personality. Polly warms up quickly to new people (especially if treats are involved—she’s a big foodie!) and would love a lower-traffic home that provides structure and boundaries to help her be her best self.
