Meet Big Vinnie, a 140-pound sweetheart rescued from the side of the highway. Protective yet loving, he thrives with a patient, breed-savvy owner in a low-traffic home, and he’s making great strides with training and social outings!
Everyone meet….Big Vinnie!! Vinnie was found on the side of the highway totally abandoned. We do not know exactly why someone would ever or could ever do this, but we are happy he is with us now, where is he safe, protected, and loved beyond measure. Vinnie weighs in at about 140 pounds and has been with us since early September and has been the biggest joy in our lives! He is true to his breed and very protective of his people and home environment, but he is extremely receptive to training and direction and does best with a firm and assertive leader figure.
Big Vinnie is neutral with other dogs and is able to coexist with cats. He is as sweet as they come once he knows and trusts you, but slow, multiple, and proper introductions are a must. Big Vinnie does have stranger danger, specifically with males, and utilizes a muzzle for this reason. He would do best in a low traffic home with an owner(s) with breed experience, are patient, and who will keep up with his training. He comes to school three times a week and does amazing with the structure provided. He truly is one of the best part of our days.
Big V loves his crate (it is his safe space) and walks well on leash. He loves his people and would do anything for them! He has been going on pack walks and has been improving with every social outing. Multiple meet and greets should be expected if interested in this beautiful boy, as it takes Vinnie quite some time to trust and warm up to someone new. Please fill out our adoption application if interested. You can see more of Big Vinnie and keep up with his journey on our IG pages: @trainingwithbria @savingwithbria
Big V comes with one free session with our training team, his crate, and all necessary belongings.
Every application is carefully reviewed. To ensure that Bria finds the perfect homes for the dogs that she rescues, she will follow up only with applicants who are believed to be a great match for each individual dog. Applications are not considered on first come, first serve basis. She considers various factors such as the applicant’s lifestyle, living situation, and their ability to provide a safe and caring environment for any and all dogs.
Bria prioritizes applicants who show a genuine interest in providing a loving and forever home to the dogs in her rescue. While it is understood that every applicant has good intentions, resources are limited and the focus must be on those who best align with each dogs’ specific needs.
